最近どうしてる？：
3歳の娘と遊んで、写真撮って、NYは街が元気になって、また景色が変わった。

今回送ってくれた写真（作品）について教えて ：
毎日カメラを持って行動してるから、毎日街と向き合って写真と向き合ってる。
自分の写真には想うことはいくらでもあるから、言葉はいつも写真の側にいる。

メッセージ ：
最近思うんですけど、〈ヴァイナル アーカイブ〉も〈ソルト アンド ペッパー〉も大北幸平なんですよね。

How's it going? ：
Hi, I am doing pretty well. I have been working a lot in the studio and my wife and I are expecting our second child, a girl, any day now!

What is the purpose for offering this pics ：
My wife took this photo of my and my son walking in the woods. It was taken during Covid when everything was shut down in NY. It was a scary time, but it was also nice to spend so much time together with my family in nature.

A message ：
I love working with Kohei. His design for Vainl Archive is always so perfect and the details are just right. It is a great experience to see what he does with my work, making it part of his own vision.

こんにちは!
こちらは元気にやってるよ。スタジオで働いています。
私と妻は2人目の子（女の子）を迎えようとしています!

今回送ってくれた写真（作品）について教えて ：
妻が、私と息子が森の中を散歩しているところを撮ってくれました。
コロナウイルスの影響で、ニューヨークのすべてが閉鎖している時に撮影したものです。
とても不安な時間でしたが、自然の中で家族と過ごせるとてもいい時間になりました。

メッセージ ：
私は幸平さんと仕事をするのが大好きです。
〈ヴァイナル アーカイブ〉のデザインはいつも素晴らしく、細部まで完璧です。
一緒に仕事をして、彼のビジョンの一部になれるのは最高です。

How's it going? ：
Very well, thanks.

What is the purpose for offering this pics ：
Just before the Pandemic, Kouhei and the Beams T team visited my studio here in the UK to chat project ideas over some whisky.
Soon after, I began creating the black mirror scorpion which we recently exhibited at Salt and Peppers Pop Up Shop in Beams.

We didn't know it at the time, but the piece would really sum up the strange events that were to unfold after that meeting.

I couldn't make it out to Tokyo this year but it was great to be a part of something happening on the other side of the globe during the lockdown.
It's impressive how Salt and Pepper brings people and culture together in this way.

最近どうしてる？ ：
とても順調です、ありがとうございます。

今回送ってくれた写真（作品）について教えて ：
パンデミックの直前に、KouheiとBeams Tのチームがイギリスの私のスタジオを訪れ、ウィスキーを飲みながらプロジェクトのアイディアを話しました。それからすぐに、先日ビームス内での〈ソルト アンド ペッパー〉のPop Up Shopで展示した「BLACK MIRROR SCORPION」の制作をはじめました。その時は気づかなかったのですが、この作品には、あの出会いの後に起こった奇妙な出来事が集約されていました。今回は日本に行くことができませんでしたが、ロックダウン中に地球の反対側でのイベントに参加できて嬉しかったです。〈ソルト アンド ペッパー〉が人々とカルチャーを結びつけることに感心しています。

メッセージ ：

How's it going? ：
Really great at the moment! I just got back to New York from a trip to California to see my family. It was my first time travelling since my trip to Japan, before the pandemic hit. But now I'm back in the studio, working on lots of exciting projects coming up! More details soon

What is the purpose for offering this pics ：
I wanted to show the new Salt and Pepper shirts we collaborated on. Also to show a little bit of my studio and surroundings. I love collaborating with Salt and Pepper, it's always really fun and the quality of the products always turn out perfect. For these shirts I was inspired by vintage gas station objects and signage.

A message ：

Almost 2 years ago I had a solo show at Salt and Pepper called "Hunny Moon". It was my first show in Japan and was really a dream come true. I was introduced to Salt and Pepper through my good friend Henry, and fell in love with the whole crew at the gallery right away! The team was so cool and nice to Kristine and I. The show consisted of some original drawings and paintings, and a collection of prints. One of my favorite parts of the show is when the gallery surprised us with a cake that had a cookie on top, with a portrait of Kristine and I on it! So sweet :) The show went really well and it was the best introduction to Japan I could have ever asked for. Big thanks and love to Salt and Pepper gallery, you're the best!!! Forever grateful to be a part of your program!

今はとても良い時間を過ごしてるよ! パンデミック前に日本に行って以来、ひさびさに家族に会うためにカリフォルニアへ旅行に行っていて、ニューヨークに戻ってきたところです。今はスタジオに戻って、これからはじまるたくさんのエキサイティングなプロジェクトに取り組んでいます。詳細は近日中にお知らせします!!!!

今回送ってくれた写真（作品）について教えて ：
今回は僕が〈ソルト アンド ペッパー〉とコラボレーションしたTシャツを紹介したかったのと、僕のスタジオとその近所を少し紹介してるよ。〈ソルト アンド ペッパー〉とのコラボレーションはいつも楽しくてクオリティも高く仕上げてくれるから大好きなんだ。ちなみに今回のTシャツのデザインは古いガソリンスタンドのオブジェとか看板からインスピレーションを受けてるよ。

メッセージ ：
2年前に〈ソルト アンド ペッパー〉で“HUNNY MOON”というタイトルの個展を行いました。日本での個展ははじめてでずっと夢に見てたので、本当に最高の気分でした。〈ソルト アンド ペッパー〉のことは友人のHenryが紹介してくれたんだけど、僕もKristine（奥さん）もスタッフのみんなをすぐに好きになったよ。個展は、オリジナルのドローイングとペインティング、そしてプリントのコレクションで構成したんだけど、ショーの中で僕が一番気に入ったのは、ギャラリーの皆が僕とKristineのために僕たちのイラストが描かれたケーキを用意してくれて僕たちを驚かせてくれたことです。とても素敵な瞬間だったよ。個展はうまくいったし、日本への最高の紹介となりました。〈ソルト アンド ペッパー〉に愛と感謝を!! あなた達は最高です!!

How's it going? ：
I’m doing super good these days, very busy times here in Berlin but i enjoy these days alot.
I had a great summer and now its getting autumn, but i like these season too.

What is the purpose for offering this pics ：
Thank you for the TShirt! Yes, i love it and wear it all the time! These photos are made here at my home, i have this huge bookshelf which i love.
The big painting is standing in the room and i move it from time to time. My girlfriend took these photos!

A message ：
Such a bummer Covid crossed our plans to show my work at your beautiful space in April 2020. Since then we are waiting for a possible moment, the most important thing for me is to be there too, to install and meet you, your friends, Risa and the Salt and Pepper staff. We will make it happen, as soon as it is possible to come again to Japan i will sit on a plane. We will also work on a small publication for the show! Kohei, keep on doing your great work with Salt and Pepper. I love your work and your space and i miss Tokyo and all my friends there alot. Thank you!


最近どうしてる？ ：
ベルリンでは忙しく過ごしていますが、とても楽しい日々を過ごしています。最高の夏を過ごしたし、今は秋になったけど、僕は秋も大好きです。

今回送ってくれた写真（作品）について教えて ：
Tシャツを送ってくれてありがとう!! すごく気に入っていて、いつも着ているよ。ここは僕の家で、大好きな大きな本棚があるんだよね。この大きなペインティングは部屋に置いてあるんだけど、ときどき動かしてるんだ。この写真は彼女が撮ってくれたんだよ!

メッセージ ：
2020の4月に幸平の素晴らしいギャラリーで僕の作品を見せる計画してたけど、コロナの影響で延期になってしまって残念だったよ。それ以来、可能なタイミングを待っているんだけど、僕は自分がその場に行って幸平、リサや友達、〈ソルト アンド ペッパー〉のスタッフと会って会場を設営することがとても重要だと思ってるんだ。
だからその時が来たらすぐに飛行機に乗るよ! その時には展示の為に一緒に本もつくる予定だね。幸平、これからも〈ソルト アンド ペッパー〉での素晴らしい仕事を続けてください。僕はあなたの仕事と空間が大好きで、東京とそこにいる友人たちが恋しくてたまりません。ありがとう!!!!
